Tesla App 4.53.1 was released on January 26, 2026. Its own page currently contains 1 Undocumented observation, with no official feature entries. The news below explains what was found and how it relates to earlier versions; undocumented findings are unofficial and should not be read as a formal Tesla release-note announcement.
This is the maintenance follow-up to 4.53.0, rather than a fresh feature release. Our 4.53.0 article remains the place to read the preceding branch's feature background. No additional customer feature is identified for the patch, although the available report cannot establish that every internal behavior or remotely configured screen is unchanged.
The January follow-up is classified as a Bug Fixes release. Its own entry describes a very small package, with no newly identified phrases, graphics, or feature additions. That supports treating it as maintenance of the existing app experience. It does not identify an individual defect, a performance measurement, or a particular screen that Tesla has corrected.
The relevant feature background comes from 4.53.0. That earlier release contained undocumented observations about changing a Cybertruck's Powershare reserve from a phone, templates for vehicle trade-in photography, Cybercab-related brake-by-wire references, and development around smart circuit breakers. Those topics explain the branch's direction, rather than forming a fresh feature list for this patch.
A maintenance update can follow a larger release without changing its visible controls. Here, the absence of newly discovered features makes that a reasonable reading, but it does not prove that every interface, backend setting, or behavior is identical. No detailed official change log establishes which internal parts of the app were adjusted.
The Minor Fixes observation is itself labeled Undocumented. We therefore describe the update's maintenance role in this news section and do not turn it into an official feature card. There is also no basis for assigning this patch a new vehicle-software requirement, additional hardware support, or a newly confirmed regional rollout.
