Tesla App 4.58.5 Release Notes

Tesla App 4.58.5 was released on July 1, 2026. Its own page currently contains 4 Undocumented observations, with no official feature entries. The news below explains what was found and how it relates to earlier versions; undocumented findings are unofficial and should not be read as a formal Tesla release-note announcement.

The preceding 4.58.0 article contains the official Charge Stats 2 entry, whereas this version's own findings are all undocumented. They also return to statistics work first discussed in 4.54.0. Links to those articles explain the development path; neither earlier feature list is copied below as though it were an official announcement for 4.58.5.

Undocumented FSD identity-check references suggest a possible authentication step before access to certain functions. Failure dialogs and identity-check wording show development activity, but the intended use is not settled. A security check or access on a rental vehicle are possible interpretations, not confirmed capabilities of this release.

App-sharing references are similarly incomplete. They suggest sending something from a phone toward a compatible vehicle, but do not establish support for installing ordinary phone apps in the car. The observed requirement points to vehicle software 2026.26 or later, and compatibility checks indicate that support may vary by vehicle.

The app also adds FSD-related usage fields concerning recent activity, monthly distance, and streaks. These clues fit the earlier Self-Driving Stats work from 4.54.0 and 4.54.5. They suggest a more complete phone-side record of usage, without proving a new FSD version, driving capability, or subscription entitlement.

Finally, the app adds representation of Coastal Blue associated with Europe. That visual support should not be read as confirmation that the paint can be ordered in every market. All four current-version findings are Undocumented, so they are described here with their uncertainties rather than given official feature cards or screenshots.

The app release date identifies the phone update, rather than the activation date of every related vehicle or home-energy capability. Individual account settings and compatible equipment still matter when interpreting these observations.
