Tesla App 4.53.5 Release Notes

Tesla App 4.53.5 was released on February 6, 2026. Its own page currently contains 4 Undocumented observations, with no official feature entries. The news below explains what was found and how it relates to earlier versions; undocumented findings are unofficial and should not be read as a formal Tesla release-note announcement.

Following 4.53.1, this version returns to a New Features listing instead of a fixes-only description. Its damage-assessment work also continues a topic covered in 4.53.0. The new observations should therefore be read as developments within the same branch, with the earlier article providing context rather than an identical current-version feature list.

The most practical undocumented observation is a change to the Dashcam Viewer: owners can reportedly select several recordings and remove them together. That would reduce repeated deletion steps when cleaning up a long list of clips. The finding concerns managing recordings, rather than a change to the vehicle's cameras or recording quality.

Home energy displays also receive attention. The reported Wall Connector view identifies whether a connected vehicle is charging or discharging and shows its battery percentage. A parallel Powerwall display describes charging direction and state of charge. These views could make energy flow easier to understand without switching between separate product screens.

The distinction between displaying energy flow and enabling bidirectional power is important. An app status screen does not grant every Tesla vehicle the ability to power a house or export electricity. The report discusses Cybertruck capabilities as context; it does not establish that this app release activates vehicle-to-grid service for all customers.

Further code and drawing assets continue the automated damage-assessment work seen in 4.53.0. Vehicle trade-ins remain the clearest context, while a possible insurance application is speculative. All four findings are Undocumented, so this article explains them as observations rather than reproducing their screenshots or presenting an official feature list.
