Tesla App 4.59.1 Release Notes

Tesla App 4.59.1 was released on July 25, 2026. Its current-version material includes 1 official feature entry and 1 Undocumented observations. This article explains their practical meaning and their connection with earlier releases, keeping unofficial findings in the news and the official notes in the illustrated section below.

This follows 4.59.0, and its wrap observation continues that earlier discussion. It also adds its own official arrival-energy entry, so the two releases do not have an identical current-version feature list. The linked predecessor explains the wrap preparation and Self-Driving Stats background, while the new route-planning capability is described separately here.

Set Arrival Energy is the official entry in this update. The app's Trip Planner can set a desired battery reserve for the destination, making a route more useful when the journey continues after arrival. The capability is described for Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y, and Cybertruck.

The associated vehicle-software threshold is 2026.26 or later. That dependency matters because a newer phone app alone is not sufficient to establish support in the vehicle. The feature helps communicate a planning preference; it is not a guarantee that weather, driving conditions, or route changes will leave exactly the selected charge level.

The practical distinction is between enough energy to reach an address and enough energy for what comes next. A hotel stay, local driving, or the distance to a later charging stop can make a larger reserve useful. Setting that goal in the app brings the phone-side planning experience closer to the vehicle's route settings.

Custom wraps are the additional Undocumented finding. The report describes uploading and selecting a wrap from the phone, with vehicle software 2026.26, Intel or AMD infotainment, a phone key, and spare wrap capacity. It continues the work described in 4.59.0. Only the official arrival-energy feature receives an illustrated entry below.

The Trip Planner in the app's Location section can set a desired battery reserve for arrival. This helps plan beyond simply reaching an address, for example when more local driving or another charging stop follows the destination.

Vehicle software 2026.26 or later is required according to the accompanying current-version explanation. Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y, and Cybertruck are listed; the reserve remains a planning target rather than a guaranteed final battery reading.
