Tesla App 4.60.0 Release Notes

Tesla App 4.60.0 was released on August 25, 2026. Its own page currently contains 3 Undocumented observations, with no official feature entries. The news below explains what was found and how it relates to earlier versions; undocumented findings are unofficial and should not be read as a formal Tesla release-note announcement.

Following 4.59.5's assistant and Android-status observations, this release opens a branch centered on sign-in, wallet development, and energy-sharing references. The linked previous article provides the sequence, but does not supply an identical feature list. These current findings indicate new development topics rather than a source-confirmed maintenance-only update.

Undocumented passkey references point to future password-free sign-in using a device's local authentication. The material explicitly describes support as not yet active in this release. Its presence in the app therefore indicates preparation, rather than a statement that every owner can already enroll a passkey.

The potential benefit is a different account sign-in method, distinct from unlocking a vehicle with a phone key. Passkeys use cryptographic credentials, while the phone-key feature governs nearby vehicle access. The current finding does not establish that one replaces the other or disclose a mandatory change to the login process.

Tesla Wallet V2 is another development area. The existing wallet stores payment-related information, but the new references do not reveal what the redesign will add. Suggestions that it could contain key cards or phone-key information remain possibilities, not a feature list that customers should expect in this build.

Powershare-related strings also expand, covering statuses and communication with home energy products. Cybertruck and compatible Model Y configurations provide context, but this app update does not grant every vehicle bidirectional power capability. The three findings are Undocumented and are kept as text, with no unsupported hardware or regional rollout claims.

The app release date identifies the phone update, rather than the activation date of every related vehicle or home-energy capability. Individual account settings and compatible equipment still matter when interpreting these observations.
