Tesla App 4.61.6 Release Notes

Tesla App 4.61.6 was released on October 8, 2026. Its own page currently contains 2 Undocumented observations, with no official feature entries. The news below explains what was found and how it relates to earlier versions; undocumented findings are unofficial and should not be read as a formal Tesla release-note announcement.

The previous 4.61.5 article concerns charging installations and card management. The current version's newly available observations are seasonal and distinct from that content. We link the predecessor for the update sequence, while explaining the Halloween findings separately. The N/A listing is not treated as proof of a fixes-only release or an unchanged feature set.

The current page now contains two Undocumented Halloween-related observations, despite the index's N/A label. The first concerns speaking through a vehicle's external speaker with a spooky voice. It is tied to Halloween Mode being enabled, rather than a new general calling feature available in every situation.

The reported mode combines approach-triggered sounds and screen animations with the seasonal voice effect. The listed context is AMD-equipped vehicles across the supported model group, including newer Model S and Model X variants, Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck. This remains an unofficial compatibility observation, not an official app release-note declaration.

The second finding concerns identifying clips recorded while Trick or Treat Mode was active. The Dashcam Viewer can reportedly distinguish those recordings from ordinary Sentry clips and provides a Spooky filter. That could help owners separate seasonal activity from the usual security-recording list without reviewing every clip individually.

These findings describe app interaction with a compatible vehicle mode. Installing the phone update alone does not establish that a car has the required seasonal vehicle feature or external-speaker capability. We explain the two observations as news, retain their Undocumented status, and exclude their screenshots from the illustrated official-note section.
