2026.20.6.3 Release Notes

Tesla software update 2026.20.6.3, released on July 29, 2026, covers trip planning. Its 4 documented entries explain changes to the ownership experience, from the features used inside the cabin to the software operating behind them. Availability depends on the vehicle and the requirements of each entry.

The documented entries are listed for Model 3 and Model Y. These requirements apply across the documented entries.

Navigation Lane Guidance shows which lanes to use to follow the route, helping drivers prepare for junctions and changes in road layout. It requires Online Routing and maps version 2026.20 or later. The feature adds route guidance to the navigation display rather than changing the vehicle eligibility for FSD.

Send Destination to Car makes it easier to plan a journey on a phone and continue it in the vehicle. Tesla app version 4.57.0 or later supports sending a destination from its location screen. The notes also describe sharing locations through NAVER Maps, TMAP and KakaoMap for the relevant regional navigation experience.

Weather Maps adds precipitation information to the navigation map, including rain and snow. Drivers can inspect the previous hour to see how conditions have changed along the route. Premium Connectivity is required, and the weather icon provides access to the view.

Points of Interest makes locations on the map directly selectable. Drivers can tap a landmark to explore the destination or begin navigation, connecting the map view to destination selection. Together with the other navigation entries, this reduces the steps needed to move from browsing a place to routing there.

Below, you can find the individual 2026.20.6.3 Release Notes, with images and the vehicle and hardware requirements for each documented feature.
